Schelle, 29th of November 2018 – The elections of the ‘Retailer of the Year’, edition 2018-2019 have ended. Supermarket Lidl wins the title ‘Retailer of the Year Europe’ 2018-2019 and fashion webshop Zalando wins the title ‘Webshop Awards Europe’ 2018-2019. More than 800.000 consumers voted in this edition of the ‘Retailer of the Year’ elections.
This year the elections were organized in nine European countries. 815.267 consumers wrote more than 2 million reviews about their favourite (web)shops. Retailers who won an award in their category in at least three countries had a chance at winning the ‘Retailer of the Year Europe’ and ‘Webshop Award Europe’ prize. Lidl scored a 8.06 and received more than 105.000 votes, which makes them the overall winner. Zalando got a 7,92 as final mark.
